Measuring & Cleaning

Here is one way to find the length of chain or cord you’ll need in order to wear your AMAG pendant in the recommended location over the thymus gland.

Two choices are available from ION:  18” or 20”. Please be sure to indicate the length you require when placing your order.

STEP 1:  Rest your thumb gently at the large,

visible dip at the base of your neck between the collar bones.

(This is also known as the suprasternal or jugular notch.)

  1. STEP 2:

  2. Curl your fingers into a relaxed fist and notice where the middle knuckle of your middle finger rests against your upper chest.

  3. Mark the spot.

STEP 3:

Using a flexible measuring tape, find the length that matches the spot marked in STEP 2.

You can keep your AMAG Pendant bright and sparkling clean using the easy, organic method described below.
The secret is baking soda that is activated by boiling water in the presence of aluminum. Sterling silver reacts with moisture creating a layer of tarnish (oxidation) on its surface.
When baking soda is activated by boiling water in the presence of aluminum, it will dislodge tarnish by causing it to bind with the aluminum, leaving your Sterling silver jewelry shining.
Boil enough water to submerge the Sterling silver items you wish to clean, then follow these easy steps:
Crumple a piece of aluminum foil large enough to fit in a glass bowl or dish. [If you have an aluminum pan that you no longer use for food preparation, use it instead.]
Lay your pendant and chain on the aluminum foil or pan, making sure the silver touches the aluminum.
Sprinkle a thin layer of baking soda over the items.
Pour enough boiling water over the baking soda in the glass dish or aluminum pan to immerse the jewelry. [Bubbling should occur, giving off an eggy smell, which confirms that sulfuric gases are being released and the cleaning action is taking place.]
Using a wooden or plastic utensil, gently move the pieces around to be sure all the silver surfaces are in contact with the aluminum.
Rinse your pendant and chain under tap water. Put a sieve over the drain in your sink to catch whatever may slip off your fingers to be sure you won’t lose small items.
Wipe the pieces dry with an absorbent towel and polish with a soft cloth.
