These days one cannot avoid hearing about fake this and fake that. People are told to disbelieve what they see and hear and are asked to put their faith in those who tell them what to believe. Since you're reading this blog, it's unlike that you are among those people. However, you may be wondering Has the world has gone completely crazy? Do you question your sanity when surrounded by conflicting messages or doubt the validity of information perceived through your senses? If you're asking how one can tell truth from lies, real from fake, here's what AMAG says:

Hiatus is as good a word as any to describe the many months I've spent apart from my normal work that required merging with AMAG. At the time of the head injury, over a year ago, AMAG cautioned strongly against attempting regular activities until my brain had healed enough to support the merge process. After the initial pain and physical discomfort of vertigo, which lasted more than six months, the part I disliked most was the loss of sight and hearing. I'm not referring to regular vision, although that has been slightly impaired because of the location of the brain bump, but rather what's sometimes called second sight. From early childhood, I knew that I saw differently than those around me and heard words and sounds that others seemed oblivious to. For many years, I believed there was something wrong with me and tried to hide my extra awareness. This lack of perceptions I had come to rely on as normal created an odd sensation of there being fewer dimensions in my life; that is, people and things appeared flattened and slightly faded in color and I couldn't hear what others were thinking. It was like watching a movie in black and white with the sound turned off instead of in HD color and surround sound! Thanks to special treatment from a gifted health practitioner a few months ago, those senses have returned and I'm able to perceive as before. I'm more than ever convinced that we're all capable of extra-sensory perception, we just don't all use our brains the same way. Anything is possible.
For the first few days of every new year, people often greet each other with wishes for happiness and good health. Then it seems that as we become accustomed to the routine of daily activities, it's easy to forget the joys of a new beginning and the days roll by as before.
I always look forward to opening a new appointment book and hanging up the prettiest calendar in celebration of a new year. In the past, I also created a long list of resolutions. However, this year I decided to make only one resolution. I intend to act as if each day is a whole new beginning, a completely fresh start. That's it. That's my only resolution and I intend to keep it. This way, if I ate something sugary yesterday, it doesn't mean that I've failed to keep to my goal of eliminating sugar from my diet, it only means that today (a whole new start) will provide an opportunity to be sugar-free. If I don't get through all the items on my "to do" list, I can trust that every new day will provide an opportunity to tackle what I most wish to accomplish. I know this isn't a new idea since there's really nothing "new" under the sun. However, choosing only one item on what formerly would have been a very long list of New Year's Resolutions is new to me. Today, and every day in this new year, I send you blessings for happiness and good health.

Raymond Charles Barker (1911–1988) was a leader and author in the New Thought spiritual movement, founder and first minister of the Church of Religious Science in Manhattan. Some of his students included future Religious Science leaders Stuart Grayson and Louise Hay. He said, "You are in a spiritual universe to act, decide and select, and upon your decision rests your experience." I think he was saying the same thing as AMAG only in different words. We always experience the product of our actions and it helps to know that our actions follow a process of choice. We always have freedom of choice.
